Ayman Chalak

Based at BDO Global office in Brussels, Ayman is managing the Natural Resources & Energy and the Real Estate & Construction global industry programmes.

Ayman is focused on increasing the industries’ global reach, market share and penetration, client base and revenue. This is mainly achieved through building and growing internal industry communities at BDO, as well as targeted pursuits and key account management plans for strategic global clients.

While supporting international bids and cross-border proposals, Ayman is equipping BDO firms across the globe to win new work.

Together with industry leaders, Ayman is constructively challenging Big Ideas and generating Thought Leadership. He is keeping the industry groups up-to-date with market trends and recent innovations, industry events and webinars, subject-matter surveys and insight reports.

Prior to joining BDO in April 2021, Ayman gained 12+ years of international experience in construction and engineering (EPC), where his roles and responsibilities concentrated on business development, key account management, sales enablement, prospecting for new leads and opportunities, market intelligence, strategic industry research, relationship building, pre-qualification and capabilities statement, proposal capture plan (used for supporting bid/no-bid decisions), work winning strategy (including partnerships and joint ventures) and bid pursuit process.

With educational background in engineering and business administration, Ayman developed:

• solid industry experience in: Architecture Engineering & Construction (AEC), Civil and Social Infrastructure, Buildings and Built Environment, Renewable Energy, Oil and Gas, Mining and Exploration, Power Generation and Utilities

• solid experience in project development: Hydropower and Pumped-storage, Wastewater Treatment Plants (STP/WWTP), Marine Platforms (Sea Ports and LNG Terminals), Water Treatment & Water Reuse (RO Plants), Waste-to-Energy Plants (WtE), Waste-to-Fuel Facilities (RDF/SRF), Seawater Desalination Plants (IWP, SWRO, IPP, IWPP), Carbon Capture Utilisation & Storage (CCUS), Hydrogen and Battery Storage
